We offer free membership to anyone who is able to commit to one 2 hour shift staffing the Toy Library each month, for at least 3 consecutive months! Below is a document explaining the duties involved. If you are interested, please contact us to schedule an in-person meeting before signing up for your first shift. We are also always eager to hear from people interested in joining our Board of Directors, or our Stewardship Council! If you, or someone you know, might be interested in either position, please email pdxtoylibrary@gmail.com

The Council is an easy gig. Their only job really is to appoint Board members. As a tax exempt nonprofit, we need this group to ensure that decision making power is not concentrated unfairly. The Council meets once annually to elect the Board, or as needed when we have Board positions to fill. No special skills are required – just a passion for the project.

The Board of Directors meets every 3 months to review the status and performance of the library, and make plans for maintenance or improvements. We could particularly use people who have experience or interest in grant writing, event planning and fundraising.
