About

PDX Toy Library is now closed. We were an all volunteer community based non-profit organization that (per our mission statement): recognizes play as an integral part of a child’s development. We provide affordable access to high quality toys and equipment for borrowing, to assist with the physical and educational development of children ages birth to 8.

We operated from the Sunnyside Community House in SE Portland from 2014-2018.

Our founder and director, Cat Davila, can still be reached via email at pdxtoylibrary@gmail.com for information on the project and consultation or collaboration on future similar projects.

  1. Hello PDX Toy Library,

My name is Rachel, I’m a videographer and journalist with the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism and Communication.

I’m really intrigued by your non-profit’s mission to provide toys and play experiences for children in our community. It’s a wonderful idea and much needed.

I recently did a video about a non-profit called Street Books, and your cause and mission remind me very much of them.

I would love to chat with you and see if you have any video needs for your website. I’m currently looking for a topic to produce a 10 minute documentary on for UofO and I think your non-profit might be a great fit!

If you’re interested to see some of my work, please check out my site:

Thank you and I look forward to hopefully chatting with you further!

    Rachel
